Sunstone Private Events

Tucked on the edge of the Santa Ynez River, Sunstone's unique location greets your guests with the delicate fragrance of French lavender and rosemary. Reminiscent of wineries in the Provencal French countryside, the courtyard and architecture create the perfect backdrop for your special event. 

Cocktail Parties

• Includes use of the tasting room and main courtyard for cocktail reception purposes. 
• Facility is available between the hours of 5:30 and 10:30 p.m. and is limited to 2 hours. 
• Any food items must be provided by an approved caterer, and staffed for set-up, service, and cleaning.

Rehearsal Dinners, Private, and Corporate Events

All dinner events include the use of the tasting room and courtyard for reception, plus a sit-down dinner location (typically determined by the number of guests). 

Number of Guests

Sunstone Winery’s maximum number of guests is 125.

Day and Times

Guest arrival for a Private Event is no earlier than 5:30 p.m. and events can be held any day of the week.  Set-up can begin after noon, or as determined in advance by management. We reserve most major holidays for winery use and do not schedule private events. All events must conclude by 10:30 p.m., and the facility must be vacated by 11 p.m. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Alcohol Consumption

• Sunstone Wines are served exclusively. Billing is based on consumption; a 20% discount is given on the purchase of wine listed on the current tasting room wine list, subject to some restrictions.
• Sparkling wines and bottled beer are allowed only when provided by the caterer and served in the appropriate glass. No hard liquor is allowed.

Additional Requirements

• Sunstone Winery requires the use of a pre-approved caterer. A full commercial kitchen is available for the caterer. The use of our kitchen facility is included in the location fee.
• Sunstone requires shuttle transportation. All guests are to arrive and depart the property via shuttle transportation.
• Sunstone requires children under the age of 12 years old be supervised by a licensed and bonded childcare service.
• Sunstone requires liability insurance in the amount of one million dollars.

Fees, Booking, and Payment

Sunstone Winery has an exclusive use property lease agreement. This means no matter which type of event you hold at Sunstone, your event will be the only event on property. This ensures your group an intimate and exclusive venue. A signed contract and a 50% deposit are required to reserve a specific event date. The final payment is due 60 days prior to the event. Both are non-refundable.

$1,200.00 - $2,500.00 (depending on the sit-down dinner location you select)

Capacity

• The Cuvée Cave  seats up to 120 guests
• The Private Tasting Room seats up to 25 guests
• The Wine Library seats up to 12 guests
